Everyone knows the story of Bucky Barnes, Captain Amercia's
faithful sidekick. Shorty before the end of the War (WWII,) Cap
and Bucky were captured by the Red Skull. Old Red tied them
to a rocket armed with a neuclear device and aimed at America.
The Skull launched the rocket with Cap and Bucky tied to it, once
airborn, Cap was able to free the both of them, and Cap fell off
and encouraged Bucky to do the same, he refused and said that
he could see the detonator and could defuse it. Scant seconds
latter, the rocket exploded right infront of Bucky as he lost his grip.
Bucky was successful in the attemp to defuse the rocket, because
it just exploded like a regular bomb and not a nuke.

Powers: No super or supernatural powers to speak of, he
engages in strenuas physical exercise on a daily basis, due
to his military training, and is considered above average
to that of an olympic champion. He can dead lift up to
580 lbs and bench press about 610.
He is also an exceptional runner and was considered for
draft by the NFL while still attending college. He turned
down the NFL when he decided to join the military and leave
school. A decission he never regretted.
The new Bucky Barnes is infact his ancestor. He is the son of
Bucky's mother's sister. Miss Francis. Fairchild or Bucky's Great Aunt,
was born a miracle baby. Bucky's Mother's sister gave birth to a
bouncing baby girl at the age of 52. 25 Years latter, she married
a military man in 1971. Francis married Edwin Prescott and gave
birth to Edward Raymond "Bucky Barnes" Prescott in 1974. He was told of his Great Uncle's heroics at the age of fifteen. He decided then to carry on the family tradition. He graduated with honors and attained a scholarship for football at his alma matre in Ohio. He was exceptionally gifted and was going to enter the Textile and fabric industry for the degree he would get
from graduating college. Two months before his graduation, the war
broke and he joined the Marines and went to Desert Storm. In the
Service he was awarded the Navy Cross, Combat Action Ribbon,
Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon and the Navy Achievment Medal.
Upon returning to the US after his 4 years was up, he was approched
by non-other than Nicholas J. Fury, Director of SHIELD. Shield paid
for his last two months of college and granted him an additional sum
for going for his masters degree. Edward was a driven individual,
he labored hard at Shield. His hard work brought forth a new material.
A fabric he calls Vadlarium. It is in short a material that is made with
fine strands of Vibranium mixed with Adamantium and interwoven
with Kevlar III, and soaked in a special solution of his own design.
The solution allows the to composites to blend into a solid and
flexible material that is impervious to high impact Armor piercing rounds.
He has made three uniforms and of the three, his first was made for
none-other than Captain America himself, the second, knowing his
own history made a costume for himself, and the last for the US Agent.
The uniforms that bucky created are the most patriotic, for the Captain America uniform has thirteen interchanging stripes and Bucky's own uniform has 13 buttons. His uniform is a two piece with a belt. Each of the Uniforms he created is adorned with a star. Never expecting to meet the Great Captain America, he wished to honor him as well as his Great Uncle, by putting a star on his uniform aswell.
During one of his missions as a Marine, a phosphoresent bomb exploded and damaged his eyes. Bucky now wares a protective mask with special lenses designed by SHIELD, which enable him to see sharper, farther and at night with the aid of his special mask. The lenses are made of a glass composite and coated with a substance not unlike photogray sun sensitive refractory coating. Meaning they turn dark in sunlight and back to normal indoors.
It is not know if he ever joined Captain America as his new sidekick or the Avengers as yet, that is up to Marvel Comics and Stan Lee to decide.

Historic Note: Did you know that Bob Barker of the Price is Right, and Bill Cosby of I Spy and later his own show, were both Navy Pilots? Their pictures adorn the main office at the Pittsburgh MEPS station. There are other famouse people on the wall, but I can only remember these two. Note 2: The pictures were present in 1986, wheather they are there now is another story.
